The Funding Corporation Dubbed Responsible Lender Of The Year

Watch out Co-operative and Barclays, The Funding Corporation is stealing your thunder. This car finance group based in Chester was recently named the most responsible lender in Britain. The honor was announced at the recent Credit Today Awards held in at Grosvenor House in Park Lane within London.

No longer are High Street institutions the only ones in the spotlight.

The Responsible Lender of the Year award is one of the most coveted titles revealed at the annual awards ceremony for the UK credit industry. More than a thousand people were present to see David Challinor, managing director of The Funding Corporation, receive the award. Comedian and celebrity host Lee Hurst was the award presenter.

Mr. Challinor said that bringing this title back to Chester represented a major accomplishment. He informed the crowd that all aspects of work done by the car finance group were judged and it was

necessary for his team to demonstrate how they use responsible lending policies designed to safeguard consumers.

Staff must provide assistance, explanation, and support throughout the financing process.

The managing director credited his entire staff for their professionalism and diligence, which helped the company land the award. The Funding Corporation focuses on bad credit car finance, a difficult and quickly expanding market. Its group member ACF Car Finance Limited, which operates retail car showrooms throughout the UK, is a close partner.

Mr. Challinor made it a point to note that his company has only about 250 employees. It was competing with much larger organizations, including major banks, to win this award. He expressed appreciation that quality of service, not staff size, was a determining factor for who won.

According to him, The Funding Corporation just finished a record year in terms of profit and the award will enable the group to focus even more on business as the busy season begins for car sales.
